Build your own LAUNCH RACK with our parts kit!
Build your own launch rack with as many or as few stations as you need using our rod holders and mounting brackets. Make the rack itself from a 2x4 and 1x4's. Or you can design it however you want.
The kit is comprised of the beefy aluminum rod holders from our tried and true FLP-32 model launch pad which hold 1/8" to 1/4" launch rods and your choice of either right angle mounting brackets made from thick 1/4" x 1-1/4" steel flat stock, or 1/4" x 1-1/4" aluminum end brackets. The brackets attach to the top or the end of the rack with 1/4" screws and washers (not included).
Each 90 degree angle bracket with rod holder and 7" x 7" 14 gauge blast deflector is $60.00 per station plus shipping. Buy as many or as few as you need. Shipping charge will have to be calculated as that will be determined by the number of stations purchased. You can also use one of these station kits to build your own model rocket launch pad.
Rod holders pivot on a 3/8" pivot bolt and tighten with a wing nut. Twin 1/4" thumb screws hold the launch rod securely.
We also have "end unit" brackets made from 1/4" x 1-1/4" aluminum. End unit stations are $55.00 per station. These look good on the end of a 2x4 if you've built your rack this way and save a few bucks at each end. Attach with two 1/4" screws (not included).
7 x 7" blast deflectors made from 14 gauge steel with mitered corners are included with each station.
Get aluminum rocket perches for $10.99 each for the finishing touch to trick out your rack.
Pictured here with 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" rods.
Six stations with the blast deflectors.
I attached the legs to this rack using 3/8 carriage bolts and wing nuts.
This design breaks down easily into a fairly compact package for ease of transport, but again, design the rack any way you want. This is your chance to be creative.
I notched the spine and leg support pieces to fit together and bolted the pieces together with a 3/8 lag bolt and washer. It's very sturdy.
