February 2026 Update:
I am currently inundated with work, easily backed up 2 weeks, if not more. I had an unusually busy December, and on top of that, I got a bad case of bronchitis that threw me behind big time. A trip to the doctor and a round of antibiotics didn't help it. Three days into the round of antibiotics, I got a bad cold on top of it while trying to catch up with my Christmas shopping. So after I was done with the antibiotics a week later, on Christmas Eve, I was now worse off than when I started the antibiotics. So here it is Christmas Eve and I'm off to Urgent Care. One chest x-ray later and I'm put on Albuterol breathing treatments through a nebulizer and given a stiff dose of Prednisone and Codeine cough medicine. I was also sent for a pulmonary function test in January. I was trying to work through this, but finally realized I was doing more harm than good and I was going to have to rest and take it easy, like my doctor told me, if I was ever going to get over this. So I commenced to take it easy and get better, and productivity ground to a halt.
So January rolls around and I'm finally well enough to get back in the shop and I'm hit with order after order after order. One of the busiest Januarys I can remember in a looong time, all the while I'm still trying to catch up with jobs that I had gotten behind on in December from being sick. And if this wasn't bad enough, we're hit with first an ice storm and then a few days later a snow storm. Daily highs in the 20's, way too cold and icy to do any of the things that I do outside like painting or running my dry cut saw. And the shop heaters can't warm the shop enough when the temps are that low, so freezing cold in the shop. Worst winter we've had here in probably 10 years. So, covered up with work at a time when I can't really get any work done. Please bear with me folks. This business has grown to the point over the last 18 years where it has become way too busy for one old man to keep up with it. And hiring help, on the revenue taken from the prices I charge for these launch pads, is out of the question.
